During one of my trips to Key West, FL I found this beautiful Basset Hound, whom I named Lucy.  She was really the main attraction of the sidewalk entertainment duo that captured the hearts of many on Duval Street.  What inspired me to paint Lucy were her painted toenails, pink flowers, and necklace; but most of all, the soulful look in her eyes as she gazed up at her human companion.  Lucy was my very first pet portrait and has inspired me to paint others.
